The Public Aquarium Community Hurries to Register for IAC 2008!
The overwhelming response received from the early bird promotion which ended on 31 Jan 2008 has once again proved the importance of IAC as one of the most important event for the public aquarium industry.
Over 200 attendees coming from China, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Norway, Netherlands, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and USA, have now registered. We are thus optimistic that this upcoming IAC will exceed the last record set with over 500 attendees.

IAC 2008 Exhibition As the congress draws near, we are receiving an increasing number of applications from past exhibitors who have benefited from their last participation in IAC.
Over 700 industry professionals and specialists from around the world are expected to attend IAC 2008 to be held in Shanghai, China at the Shanghai International Convention Center from 19 to 24 October 2008. A mini exhibition will also be held during the congress and will be open exclusively to congress attendees. Exhibitors will get to meet personally and professionally with key decision makers in exhibitory and husbandry, conservation and public education.

About IAC The International Aquarium Congress, commonly known as IAC, is probably the most important and prestigious event for the public aquarium industry. The congress which is held every four years, gathers professionals from public aquarium all around the world to share and learn about new developments in research, technology, management and other related issues for the industry. About Organiser – Shanghai Ocean Aquarium At Shanghai Ocean Aquarium (“SOA”), we welcome you to the biggest aquarium in Shanghai and one of the most beautiful ones in the world. The Aquarium has a total built in area of 20, 500 square meters. It is a US $50 million joint investment by Singapore-based Straco Corporation Limited and China's China Poly Group. Since its opening in February 2002, SOA has received more than 1 million visitors every year from within China and all over the world.
Located just next to the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai's bustling financial district of Lujiazui, SOA is divided into 9 different thematic zones, with a collection of more than 450 species of aquatic animals from the five continents and four oceans.
